Default AE Stuff

Hi All,

Can anyone explain the AE side of things for me in laymans terms?

My car was running really jerky between 3k and 4k and I was sure the VE map was fine.

I tweaked the MAPdot threshold to 2550 to switch AE off and the car ran like a dream - the same, if not better than OEM, but with 4.5 PSI boost.

When I take the MAPdot threshold back to 50, the car runs jerky again.

I left it at 50 with 0.4 in the time box, but halfed the 4 values in the MAP-Boxes at the top.

The car ran then better than jerky, but not as smooth as when the threshold was 2550.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Pat...

The issue is AE kicking in, reducing the amount of AE isn't really a fix.

according to this, the MAPDot that's being recorded may not be accurate due to the resolution of the datalogs.

Try increasing the activation threshold to say 150kpa/sec and see if AE stops activating all the time.
