Default Setting up MSPNP questions. (was: Buzzing sound)

So I'm installing a pnp for a local kids sc 1996. Hooked it up. Wired up the wideband (thought didn't connect to ms yet), when I put the key into the ignition theres a buzzing sound coming from under the dash. Like when you forget to close your door, or leave the lights on, etc. Its not a beep like my nb had, but a buzz. Is there some sort of buzzer under there I have to remove? The cars ignition turns on, fuel pump primes, everything seems to be ok, but the buzzing just doesn't stop.

Haven't started it yet, but getting ready to, and need to get this addressed asap.

Please help
TIA

I had the same thing happen with my '90 and I'm 99% certain it was the fuel pump relay. Though I cant remember what made it start humming and if putting in the new relay solved the problem.

Sorry man, I know its not much help. I did too many damn things to the car at once and most of its a blur.

Crawl under the dash and see if it IS the door buzzer and pull the connector off if it is. Could be that there is no provision for it in the MSPNP

My '97 has an annoying buzz from key in-door open. I will remove it before the car goes into service.

It was the door buzzer. It was stuck or something. Wiggled it around and its fine. I'm a retard

Fired the car up. Runs rich on the base map but it fires up and runs.

Thanx for the input

Another (probably stupid) question:

Will Tuner Studio work with the mspnp?
Right now I'm using my old lap top (that has a serial connection) and megatune, so downloading TS and opening the mspnp map should not have any problems correct?

I use TS on my mspnp with no problems on a serial. Just start a new project and let it auto-detect the ecu first. Also, IIRC it selects the wrong MAP sensor for the mspnp units (though that was a few versions back so it might be fixed by now).

Once that's made the current msq should load with no problems at all.

See this thread:

Because of the variability in AEM's output voltage, it may take a bit of fiddling.
