1990 Begi S2 install in the works
Still waiting for the air scoop and the MSpnp (upgraded because they forgot to send their Begi Fuel system)
Anyways, started the install, things are going fine, except I cut the vaccum line above the brake booster through the check valve...and snapped two of the exhaust manifold studs trying to get the bolts off... Oh and the Dp doesn't line up with the stock cat, which I kind of expected..so new exhaust piping will be in the works as well. Everything is extremely well made and nicely complete. So far the only thing that I find that I want to add is better heat wrap for the heater hoses (and add one for the brake reservoir) and also find more of those cool ass clamps Begi sends to replace the ones that are left over on the radiator hoses so they all match. The install will be on hold until I find studs and a hose...damn holiday weekend. I know, I know,, pics or banishment...If anyone wants to host them, I 'll email them pics of the car and boobs.:) |
i can host them on my photobucket wes(dot)wingham(at)gmail(dot)com
|
Sending...
|
Pics have been sent to wes65 who is gracious enough to host them for me. I will be out drinking beer for the rest of the day. So if you want any different pics or clarification...I will be too drunk to do it until tomorrow.
Oh and the little green car in the background is a 65 mini... |
Wes65 dont you be holding back on those pics of boobs

The angle is right, the distance is right, but the bolt spacing is way off...

Wes65...
Yeah tried figuring it out because of the photobucket response... Its still a pain in my ass..but hey one step for stupid kind. Whoo hoo. at this rate I may even figure out the ms tuning... |
Damn it all to fucking hell....ahh I feel better now...
I now have the studs so I can place the manifold on...except I cant get the fucking wrench on the lower center nut... I think I am going to have to buy a POS 14 mm wrench and shave it down thinner. My Craftsman didn't work, my snap on didn't work (ok I lied, my buddies snap on didn't work)... Well, doesn't really matter, Stephanie says my MSpnp is on order and the new pipes are being coated...couldn't finish it tonight even if I could get the manifold tightened down... |
well, additional tool needed for BEGI S2 (or S3) is a 14/15 mm wrench that you shave waaaaaay down. Including the thickness of the shaft... A total pain in the ass. But I now have the manifold and turbo bolted in and tightened up. The DP is bolted to the turbo but still loose. I am giving up for the day.
New cat is on order, as are flanges for said cat, and MS/air scooper/injectors/fuel pump/rest of the piping are all on back order with BEGI... It would have been a great day for a drive out here today... |
I don't understand why everyone shaves down a wrench. I didn't have to and I have a Tial wastegate bolted up right in the damn way of turning a wrench as well. Unless you're trying to turn the wrench from up top i don't see the problem.
I see your cameltoe and raise you one moose knuckle. http://www.v7n.com/forums/attachment...oseknuckle.jpg |

Whats even better is there is another oconnor local to me that i have been talking to through our local BAMO mailing list about a cherry picker. So if oconnor lives in the bay area this will be a very small world. |

O'Connor had three downpipes with his name on it. I think Donnie made a couple extra by accident. I would not worry too much.

Yep, all me...

Fired it up for the first time today, thanks to gotpsi. Still need to program the EBC on the MSpnp and weld up the exhaust. Also the Air scooper. Thats going to need some engineering. The air dam doesn't bolt up or really fit. But some cutting and rewelding and it should fit. That will be done in two weeks.
Whew what an adventure... |
