afpr tuning? backed screw out, no change
so just for shits and giggles i decided to play with the afpr. just got done with install and havent put in the fuel pressure gauge yet. If youve read my other post ive been having problems revving, idle is fine but its getting cut at 2500rpm. anyway i was idling and just for fun i unscrewed the top screw on my JR afpr, no change in anything... then i screwed it all the way in.... nothing. could my afpr be bad? or just not hooked up to the vacuum right? right now its teed between the oem fpr and the nipple that it connects to. can it be teed to any vac source or just there?

that screw does not allow FP adjustability at idle. That screw is to set the "base" pressure at 0psi and 0 vacuum.

with some gauges, even just cheap diagnostic type gauges you keep in your tool box you'll be able to rule out of things. things like vacuum and or fuel pressure could be your problem
|
so how do i adjust it then?
|
All the way backed out will put you at stock idle. Not sure at what point it will start increasing the idle pressure when you screw it in, could be close to halfway. The only adjusting the idle will do to you is to help battle a lean tip in.
I do not believe your problem has anything to do with the afpr. |
i guess ill try another map later today and see what happens...

How about install the stock injectors and zero out the map. That should tell you if its a fuel issue or not.
