begi afpr
quick question?
ive installed the toyota supra turbo black top 430cc injectors on my 1.6 miata. now with those i dont need the begi afpr? right? i searched on rc engineering that i only need about 85 psi on those injectors. im running 15psi, stock computer, o2 clamp and turned the afm 4 clicks for a leaner condition. what do you guys think? the car idles fine just a little to rich! |
ngarcia the problem is not idling 400"s it is getting them to run right i never could even with my safc. you should be set for fuel for a good while though
|
do you really expect like 325-350BHP at 15psi of boost?! cusae that's what 85psi of fuel with 430s would give you.
how are you controlling them? |
im not using anything i wanted to remove the begi afpr. i checked on rc engineering site and plugged in numbers for the injectors and for 260bhp i got about 80 psi of fueli figure remove the afpr and add pure water non alcohol injection i can achive some useful number the reason was that i was using 295cc supra na injectors and they seem to lock at 15 psi

uhhhhh......
http://i19.tinypic.com/66o86k1.jpg and what are you talking about?! How do your current injectors "seem to lock"? How do you expect your ecu to know what to do with 430cc injectors that are 53% larger than stock? Do you have any clue what you are doing? |

(no he doesn't have a clue....) |
I wanna do a flame thrower on mine it will be bad ass. Ngarcia i dunno what numbers you are feeding or what kinda fuzzy math you put in there but you are wrong please reference braineack's faq and the Pic he posted they are both correct. Some times when shit like this happens it is best to step back and say hhmmm WTF, and oh oops i gues i learned that the hard way.
PS hydrolocked motor is not good please do your best to avoid that. |
Fuel Injector Worksheet
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B.H.P. * See note below. Warning: Duty cycle should not exceed 80% (0.80) for these calculations. PSIG -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lb/Hr cc/min * Brake specific should be .45 to .50 for naturally aspirated engines, .55 TO .60 for supercharged engines, and .60 to .65 for turbocharged engines. well i guess it didnt show up but here is what i entered 260 bhp, 4 injectors,
.65 fuel consumption, 80% cycle, 80psi rail, goes to 409cc but looking at it from a different angle i will continue to use the 300cc yellow top injectors, thanks for your comments |
you should expect .55 BSFC.....
I simply think you are just going to have a hell of a time dialing in your fuel to support that much power with just and FMU/Bipes combo. The problem isn't supporting the power, it's the fuel delivery itself, especially once open loop kicks in....and especially without a wideband. |
i noticed that too. the car didnt want to run under boost, i removed them and will have them for sale. thank guys
|
I was getting somewhere aroun .45-.47 bsfc on y initial setup according to the dyno it is all in the effeciency
