begi boost gauge buzzing/rattling noise
 

So, is it normal for the begi mechanical boost gauge to rattle/buzz? It does it under vacuum when the needle is bouncing/twitching. It is kind of annoying.

sounds like you've hooked up the vacuum line to the throttle body. mine bounced like crazy there.........move it back to the fuel pressure regulator. you'll get much more accurate readings and the needle will stay steady.

attach it to the fuel pressure regulator? Do you mean the brake booster? The brake booster is where BEGi says to put it.

sorry internet was being gay, chop the line cut a little off and you should have an adapter

i will try that. actually now that i think about it, i think that it is on the brake booster, not the intake manifold. Therefore, i dont have enough line to go all the way to the intake manifold, idk i will have to look, i will be able to work on it again next weekend.

Miataz, is that a yellow wire nut by your firewall?

Wire nuts worry me when found in cars.

Try putting a restrictor inline with the gauge.

Eh its not my fault the god dam wires were so long lmfao i cant do anything i moved them now to all one side they look a little bit neater lol. And yes that is a wire nut w.e it is called for electrical, i jerry rigged my narrowband a/f gauge, its the O2 sensor line chopped with the a/f line attached all in one bunch lol it works fine for now :D i should fix that though lol.

And that restrictor line should have came with your boost gauge

Hmm, i didnt use the T connector, that could be a restrictor as well.

Those pieces that 42dd are selling have a restriction in them, normal t-connectors do not.
