hate to be the bearer of bad news...but everything you have labeled as fuel line...are A/C lines...

patsmx5 04-13-2008 05:02 PM

Hahahahaha.

Those are all A/C lines. Leave them alone. And go get yourself a copy of the instructions.

KPLAFIN 04-13-2008 05:07 PM

these are your fuel lines bro...

also i do have the latest copy of the instrcutions from the BEGI site (these are from january 27 2008) but the instructions are very confusing and this is not the first time i am working on a car.

Also any pictures on where all the lines comming out of the regulator suppose to go ?

Look down at the front fender on the passenger side and you will see 2 metal lines coming up and changing to rubber lines. If you follow those lines you will see they actually go to the fuel rail. These are your fuel lines. If your installing a fuel pressure regulator you will want to be working with the line that comes off the back of the fuel rail.

KPLAFIN 04-13-2008 05:46 PM

you've got the right ones now....im not 100% sure on how to hook up the begi fuel pressure regulator (as far as which line goes where) so i cant be much help there...

Not to sound rude, but if you don't know the difference between a/c and fuel lines, maybe you should have someone else do it!

Latitude 04-13-2008 08:00 PM

zoomzoom that is good advice but it is a little too late i have the whole thing open now :) and well i want to finish it

Here, the yellow FUEL LINE goes from the stock FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR on the back of the fuel rail into the BEGi AFPR.
The pink line goes from the BEGi AFPR into the fuel return hardline on the fender.

that pic is a lil confusing Sam since you have the yellow line going right to the brake booster vacuum line.

hey thanks samnavy i just have some more questions :)

oh come on folks please :)

cjernigan 04-14-2008 09:58 PM

You're kind of annoying for someone that wants help.
Yes the line with the plastic check valve just hangs there. No the gauge does not just sit there. No you do not connect your brake booster vacuum line to the fuel gauge. Pretty sure you install the FP gauge after the fuel rail.
All of this info is on the forum already a million times over.

WOW
that's all I can say

too bad understanding binary doesn't pay you enough to have someone who understands cars install your kit.

oh my god.

WOW this is a rough forum :)

First off i could not find any directions on how to install the BEGI FPR any where the directions on the BEGI sight (sorry stephanie) do not show anything either. Miata is not my only car and i dont work on cars for living so excuse my noobism.

Also I do have a supercharged c5 z06 that i installed upgraded exhaust, headers, shocks, brakes all using instructions on the forums and never had a problem.

Stephanie i did call and spoke with some one else who explained the setup and i think i am good to go for now. You guys have the best tech support just not the best directions :) e.g to make your instrucitons noob proof dont just call something FPR put a picture of it next to its name so noob like me know what you are talking about and when showing engine bays of cars put some arrows to show what things users should be touching e.g the fuel lines point them out etc
