Default Begi S2 Blow off valve

What options do I have to convert the recirculation valve to a BOV (to the atmosphere)

I like the noise, some dont, I do.

What is involved on an 03 with a MAF/Xede

Can it be done with out messing up my tune?

I tried it with the Begi recirculation valve just for fun but the thing leaks to back to keep the car idling.

It can be converted. Ask Hustler.... I saw it done on his car. It should not affect the tune too much.

Hustler is using an MSPNP which is MAP based. If the Xede uses the MAF to read airflow instead of a MAP sensor, you shouldn't vent the BOV to atmosphere.

I've never understood this, so apologies, but why?

When you in a 'venting' state you're not at WOT so who cares if the air vented isn't metered by the MAF?

still creates fuel spikes since it thinks all that air went into the engine and it didn't. It's probably not that bad, but if it's finely tuned, it could cause problems. It'll just be rich and possibly bog.

but you're not accelerating when you VTA, so what's to bog?

If you shift quick enough you can feel it bog, if it leaks at all at idle it will screw with your A/F ratio. If you rev the car at all it will go pig rich and want to die, unless you have a hard spring in it.
My car was VTA with a MAF for about 9 months.. loved/hated it. you have to tap the gas ever so slightly every time you let off the gas when slowing down to keep it from wanting to die/dying.

my new FIC will allow me to remove the MAF... Im not sure that I want to do this event if i Can. I might start with a cheap EBAY BOV and see what it does, if I dont like it Im sure that there is a turbo miata in the club that will want it.
