Default Trying to look for the cheapest Greddy kit online.

Im really new to the Miata world and Miata turbos aswell. basically, i live in Shitty CA and have been looking to get that $1200-$1300 Greddy kit that everyone says that they cost. where can i find that price because all of my research has led to the the cheapest kit being around $1500.

If you want it cheap just look for used one on the classified in here. Otherwise pay the $200 difference. I'd imagine there aren't very many new greddy turbo kits left in circulation.

No idea. Why you'd start with one nowadays is beyond me. Isn't begi's starter shanghai kit just as cheap? Better manifold anyways.

Damn! Move the F out of California, solves that.

DP is meh, that stupid bolt....

I believe they (greddy kits) have steadily gone up in the last few years. You're buying a fairly rare, out of production carb certified turbo kit for only $2-300 over the cheapest price it was ever available. Beggars can't be choosers.

It's a sticker actually. There's a few threads here and m.net asking people with Greddy kits who do not live in California to mail the sticker to Cali for various other kits. Doubt they'd ever sell it separately.

I had a Greddy kitted 90.

Although it was fun, it was an exercise in band-aid after band-aid. Save a bit more and do something else.

I am wanting to do a turbo on my 1.6, and the artech stuff looks great. I will likely go that route. anyone else do this vs. a greddy or fm kit as a first step vs. buying a pre-designed kit and upgrading upon failure of certain items?

I started with the basic kit, I'm still using the turbo + downpipe + manifold and fuel control for now. It's basically given me a reliable 130/140ish whp for the last 2 years, but I did replace the oil feed/return line with stainless AN lines and add a bipes unit.

I'll be replacing the downpipe soon, and adding a FMIC and MSPNP. Don't really regret any bit of it, it got me boosted for cheap, and it's still good for 220+ whp with additional mods.

You missed this one that just ended yesterday for $650.

Keep your eye out and buy it used. Unless you NEED to have a new one, save yourself a couple hundred extra.

Here's a kit even cheaper ($300), but it's only part of what you need to make it all work. Could be sold by now. You'll have to check it out.
