BEst/Cheapest Place to find Greddy Kit.

Good friend of mine is looking for a Greddy Kit. Who are GOOD retailers to purchase a Greddy from?

Tremiata 09-24-2007 11:58 AM

Greddy list = $1648
Alamo Price = $1154

PM me if you are interested.

M-Tuned 09-24-2007 11:30 PM

I thought it was available for less than $1150

aliahm 09-25-2007 04:34 AM

Is it not to expensive...

M-Tuned 09-25-2007 07:16 AM

I know, but can't you get one for under $1150? and is so.. Where? I remember someone purchasing one for $999 a while ago.

Ben 09-25-2007 07:56 AM

I think it was NAPA(?) that had them for $1100 shipped for a while

ray_sir_6 09-25-2007 04:12 PM

Well, our price is still $1154.

StankCheeze 09-25-2007 07:02 PM

I doubt it. I don't know how much you think most shops get off greddy, but at 1154, I would assume he's making about $80 profit.. Since it probably weighs 50lbs.. it'll easily cost $35 to ship it insured.. so drop the profit down to 45.. Then take off 3% for credit card processing.. and you'd make aproximately $10.50.

At those kind of margins, I can't believer everyone doesn't sell them that cheap. Hell, I'd be on my way to the Ferrari dealership.

Buy one used off of someone on Craigslist or eBay or the classifieds here. I got one for $650 used off a guy on Craigslist. They pop up on the Miata.net classifieds too for around that.

Looks good. When I have enough important thoughts to justify a post count of 10, I'll PM you, haha.

ray_sir_6 11-23-2007 05:31 PM

We do take Discover. It's against the law to charge for usign a credit card.

Shipping: $23

Bryce 11-23-2007 06:55 PM

Got mine for 1250 shipped from mvp motorsports.

ray_sir_6 11-26-2007 12:24 PM

1154 + 23 = $1177
$1177 or $1250??

Bryce 11-26-2007 12:30 PM

If I were to do it over again I'd buy a heavily upgraded Greddy kit for even less than that.

it's not against the law, it's against their policy.. it's perfectly legit to offer a cash discount though.

ray_sir_6 11-26-2007 05:32 PM

I was told that adding a "Credit Card Usage" fee to an invoice was against the law. I just went with it, so if it was an exageration, I don't know.

Ben 11-26-2007 05:34 PM

I've been adding a credit card surcharge for YEARS, especially if they customer is paying with AMEX. My AMEX policy is you must wait 30 days and pay an extra 5%.

He is saying jack up the CC price as the as the normal price and offer a cash discount to people who don't use a CC this essentialy makes a CC surcharge and would be perfectly legit. Come on man.

StankCheeze 12-02-2007 05:33 PM

Cash discounts are also against the rules of many merchant accounts, read your fine print. It's also against the rules of Paypal. (Big surprise :jerkit: )

Ben 12-02-2007 05:39 PM

depends on your agreement. and I doubt any type of clause banning cash discounts wouldn't hold up in court. It's my business and I set prices.

Not true. Again..

4.7 No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.
Nothing in there that says you can't offer a cash discount.
