setup

HKS 264 cams are good for turbo applications.

Maruha & Toda racing makes cams for the miata as well.

What about the exh-intake mod?

Better and more economical option would be to get a custom grind on your stock cams. I'll try to find the name, but there is a guy in CA who does them for the miata. I believe it's something like $100/cam whereas you'll end up paying a lot more for toda/etc... Plus, if you are building an engine and get headwork, he'll use the flow data plus specs of your setup to make the cams tailored to your setup.

Also as mentioned, the exhintake mod is pretty economical as it seems that most of the benefit in flow for the miata happens on the intake side assuming that you've already upgraded your exhaust to 2.5" or larger.

Found it. Contact John at http://www.drcamshafts.com/ as he has experience with miatas. I believe his m.net ID is appropriately 'camgrinder'.
