I have been doing alot of reading with some searching, but I cant find any info if the Greddy turbo kit for 89-93 will fit later models like the 01.
Part number on the Greddy kit is 11540001, but there is also one with a serial number 11540000, still 89-93.

Gonna rebuild a 01 Miata 1.6l to a turbo charged one, and hopefully Greddy has a kit ?

umm I've never heard nor seen a 01 miata with a 1.6. Unless someone was dumb enough to swap a 1.6 into a car that originally came with a 1.8.
The greddy kit has a 1.6 manifold so it obviously would not work on your 01. '01's are also a returnless fuel system so the FPR won't work.
That's the short answer, there's a little more to it, but that's the base of it all.

yes it does. and if so, then it should still bolt on, maybe the DP will need work, but don't hold me to it.

In the UK you could buy a 1.6 right until the new Mk3 came out - and we have a return on the fuel system too so if it's one of those models it *should* fit fine!

I'll buy the 89-93 kit and check the fitment.
I guess the engine code is the same as in the 89-93 mx-5, so we'll see.

I'd suspect it would fit.

Unless there the exhaust is different, which I'm going to assuem it is.

If the block is the same then all the basic componets will bolt up.

If a MAF/AFM will make no difference.

The crossover might have to be moddified.

FMU can still be used if you in fact do have a return line for fuel.

With that said, you can still make boost on the cheap with said modifications. If an intercooler and exhaust was in the works then it's no biggie.

Yup, in places outside the U.S., where cars are taxed based on their engine displacement, the 1.6L car was still a big seller. I believe you can get the new NC Miata with a 1.8L or the 2.0L in other countries, as well.

It will be using an EMU with map sensor so it's going to be a bit of modifications to start with.
Stock engine for now.

Does it have egr?? Maybe some fiddling with that...
Also use some timing control (maybe the fm wheel works ok)

jep i confirm the 1,6 miata/mx-5 thing the nb was sold withe the 1,6 115hp or based on the production year 1,8-1,9 but the 1,6 nb engine is not the same as the na one it hase got another valve system they use shimes on the newer one and they sucks i friend of mine bought on of these cars and after 45000 miles he has to replace them but you could probaly swap the heads betwenn them ... sorry for my ugly english :(

I just remembered that the new 1.6 blocks NO NOT have the hole available for the oil supply line. You're going to have to get the supply somewhere else like tee'ing off of the oil pressure sender like FM did on the 1.8L blocks. Not hard but getting the pressure sender off can be a little tricky.
