where to buy jim b's starion pipes?
just like the title states, im looking to add an intercooler to my newer miata, it has a stock greddy kit and my friend has a starion intercooler he can give me for free... so i was thinking i would just buy some jim b's pipes for the intercooler.
unles you guys have a better solution for cheaper ? maybe someone getting rid of an intercooler kit for the greddy ? = )

jim b is a taboo discussion around here. There were many complaints a while ago about his shoddy work and service. Your best bet is to click the banner on the right right under the forum banner (mx5projects.com). That guy is a forum member that makes a intercooler kit specifically for the greddy kit. His prices are the best you'll find for the quality of product you'll be receiving.

Interesting this thread came up. Jim*B* is the kind of JB weld. The coldside pipe has a hole in the seam that he JB Welded in the transition from the TB to the 2" I/C piping. ******* hell, I've been chasing that vacuum leak since I installed my set up. Didn't know I was chasing a vacuum leak though.
I wouldn't by his I/C kit no matter what. Buy an Ebay I/C and either do your own piping or talk to Stripes and buy his setup.
If the maker of my I/C pipes was in range I would have kicked him in the junk when I found that hole.

well, i guess ill just look into building a set of pipes then lol.
i didn't realize that his work was that shady... my pipes weren't as bad as everyone else stated, but when i break down with a vaccum ill have to check my pipes = )
does anyone have a preferred i/c or i/c + piping ebay person they recommend? i just checked the mx5project.com site.... i know the pipes are probably very good quality with the t-bolt clamps and all, but i really don't think i have the $550 bucks hes asking for his setup -_-
