Converting FM Stage 1 kit to AN Coolant and Oil Drain

I have an FM stage 1 kit with a GT2560R that uses silicone water lines and rubber oil drain line. I have had numerous situations where the coolant lines leak at the connection between the silicone line and banjo fitting on the turbo and getting access to those clamps is not easy without removing the entire manifold assembly. I am considering swapping the silicone lines to AN lines with a banjo fitting on one side and a barbed fitting on the other to connect to the stock coolant in/out ports at the front of the motor. I figure I would have a small silicone line from the barbed fitting to the motor in a much more accessible location in case it does leak. This would obviously require the removal of the manifold/turbo to get done so I figure might as well swap out the oil drain to an AN line at the same time. I plan on attempting to remove the current fitting on my oil pan and swap it with an AN fitting but if that is not possible I will use a barbed fitting at the end of the drain line and connect it to the existing barb with a short piece of rubber hose. My logic with this is the same as the coolant lines, the connections will be at a much more accessible location in case of any leaks assuming all of my AN fittings/ connections will be good which I will have a local shop make for me.

My question is, has anyone done this conversion and while doing it are there any "gotchas" I need to be aware of? Am I overthinking this?

Try these Lines and these barbs for coolant. Click here for oil drain stuff.

I had a Stage 1 kit on my 99 and replaced the supplied hoses with AN lines years ago. I used some banjo fittings that terminated in 8-AN male ends and I tapped the oil pan for a 1/2 NPT to 8-AN fitting. That was JBWelded onto the pan and hasn't leaked in over 8 years of hard use.

Thank you both!
