dead engine symptoms?

sigh... I think all this work is coming to a waste now. :sadwavey:

idle is getting rough hestitation:
- Rad. Water resirvoir has no water
- Exhaust is poping out water
- feels like the car is missing on sparks due to the water in the system

= Burnt head gasket?

I had also foundout, there was a broke/tear silicone hose from the Boost control ----> Wastegate.

Check your oil to see if there is water in there...

Mimime 03-24-2007 12:22 AM

oil from the dip stick has no sign, and I am not seeing any oil when I open the rad cap.

Any white smoke???

Fil up with water, leave rad cap off.
Rev the engine (3-4000rpm)until thermostat opens (or a faillure)
when you let off on the trottle coolant must stay inside radiator.
If water shoots out off radiator, +\- 0.5meter headgasket is gone...

please be aware that thermal expension causes the rad to overflow a bit.

Caution coolant will be hot , be carefull...

There is no white smoke, just bogging out bits of water from the exhaust, causing thottle to bog alittle.

I gotten the car started and ran it until my water temp meter showing 70 deg. celius.
Alittle bit of water spilling over coz of the expansion and smoking hot water. But doesn't seem it was shooting out as described.

Are you sure it isn't rain water??

@ 70 degrees coolent is not at its limit to open the waterpump.

For coolent to reach the exhaust you must have a deffect headgasket, but this doesnt look like it.
If the headgasket is blown, coolent mixes with the combustion, causing white smoke... Or vice versa, if the compressed air is reacing the cooland youll have a nice fountain of coolant every time the gasket ot the defect cylinder compresses.

You can also check the sparkplugs, all grey?? no problem there.

If oil is reaching the combustion youll have a nice bleu smoke.

Compression test nrs??

how much water from the exhaust cus the by-product of a burning gas and air is water. So your exhaust will always be a lil wet but should be like a small steam just drips here and there.
