don't think i would have welded up a charge pipe to the compressor, but your work does look nice. you might want to invest in a real water temp gauge, just in case that big ass fmic at the funky angle doesn't let air get to the rad.

Brice @ Alamo did all the welding.

did you move the radiator at all (ok this sucks if they block all my stuff at work. I can see them now that I am home)

MSD Timing Controller and JR Inj Controller, and O2 clamp. Guessing 170-175whp

my only problem with the design is that you've basically sealed the mouth with the intercooler, so no air can go around the i/c and make it's way directly into the radiator.

even with most "big" ic setups, they don't plug the top and sides of the opening of airflow and the radiator still gets plently of airflow even at the north most edge of it. (radiator is something like 25" wide x 17" tall)

but if you dont have cooling systems problems, then it'll work.

Mentioned this to Brice. He said it should be MORE EFFICIENT at cooling since the IC is directing the air into the top of the radiator, which normally sees little airflow.

Back to the breather port. Isnt it bad that its blocked?

My 24x12 intercooler core perfectly covered the core of my "auto" radiator.

Unfortunately I couldn't get that I/C to fit w/o changing too many other things.

Has a breather filter now, till I get a catch can.

Slidin'Miata916 06-20-2007 10:24 AM

I thought even the filter was bad because it doesnt ventilate the crankcase good enough so by just connecting it to a preturbo nipple it will also help with getting oi8l out your turbo faster? Am I right?>

Braineack 06-20-2007 10:28 AM

you're right....but some people can get away with it....i wasn't able to.

Slidin'Miata916 06-20-2007 10:29 AM

Judging by the smoke I was getting from my oil filter, i guess I wasnt able to either : / Hahaha.
