Default tuning????

ok i have been told that i can instead of buying a timing control i can tune my turbo setup using my safc2 if i buy a map sensor is this true???? would it be cheaper then going e-manage? would it get me as far ?maybe 12lbs?or should i sell the safc2 and look into getting an e-manage to get that much boost????

emanage is far superior, more money too. But it's also a lot more supported among miatas than an safc

IMO Get a full stand alone. Expencive yes, but so is an engine. And alot less frustrating. Plus better performance. =)

i looked into this but went with e-manage in the end. Seemed to be worth the extra.

I think the major issue is that the safc2 only controls fueling and not timing so you still need something to pull timing for higher boost unless you are running a WI setup.

+1 for a full stand alone. IMO its worth it. If your in or around orange look into harmon motive. I hear its 500$ for a tune with a full stand alone. pretty good if you ask me. The person i know down there is paul. But im not sure if hes who you want to talk to. Good luck with your sell.
