Fuel system
I acquired a BEGI s4 turbo kit with the GT2860 for a 95 and I was wondering what fuel system parts do I need to be able to max out this kit. I already have a 255lph pump but I was wondering what size injectors are needed. Also do I need and fpr and new fuel rails?

To max out a GT2860, you're probably going to need forged connecting rods and low-compression pistons, a 6-speed transmission (the 5-speed gearboxes are a bit more fragile internally and will probably break at the 300HP you'll be making), and a clutch rated for maybe 275 ft/lbs. A ported NB-style head would also help.
In terms of engine management, no need for anything fancy in terms of fuel pump and FPR. I might not have gone quite so large as the 255 (some folks believe that they flow too much fuel for the stock FPR to effectively bypass at idle, though I can't speak to this personally.) I'd start with a good ECU (such as a Megasquirt Plug-n-play) along with an Innovate LC-1 wideband sensor and maybe some 550-650cc injectors. |
Already have a mega squirt, adequate clutch and the built motor on the way. 550-650 injectors will be enough? Will the stock fpr and fuel rails be ok? Can anything be done for the transmission to strengthen it?

As for strengthening the transmission, it is called just buying a 6 speed for $600-$900. You can get Quiafe gears, but then you are getting to the costs of 3 or 4 6 speeds. |
actually the car is going to be a fully caged, built track car.

As for the fuel rail and so on, I've never seen anything to suggest that a stock NA-style fuel system is inadequate for 300 HP. The NB fuel system gets into trouble at higher load conditions, but aside from using something like a Walbro 190LP fuel pump, I'd leave an NA fuel system well enough alone. |

I personally would recommend the ID1000's that Track Speed Engineering sells. This way you will never need to buy another set of injectors.
Does not always apply :````( |
So the consensus is that I can save a little money and not get an aftermarket fpr or rail? 255lph pump and 1000cc injectors will work fine?
