Godspeed turbo kits...

Just how bad or good are these kits?

shuiend 10-02-2012 07:56 PM

Which kit? Care to give us a link?

18psi 10-02-2012 10:39 PM

They're great. Right up there with begi/fm/trackspeed

Get it. Run at least 20psi (because any less is for suckers). On stock injectors and a PC Pro of course

godpseed 91 92 93 94 miata mx5 mx-5 20g turbo charger kit | eBay

My guess would be that the exhaust manifold would be the weak link and should be replaced with a FM or Begi unit.

lol

Good to see that you followed through with your plan. :giggle:

OP should be banned for retardation. Then sterilized.

wait........

Are you trolling?

Damn it....And I fell for it

triple88a 10-02-2012 11:08 PM

I don't know I like the down pipe more than Begis 2 piece garbage one (no offense to whoever designed it)

Although that kit you linked, its pretty cool that it fits year 91, 92, 93, AND 94.

Needs moar F-body and Malibu

Drock30 10-06-2012 03:27 PM

I actually have this kit.... Not installed though because I'd rather piece my own kit together. It seems ok as far as the product quality, but I didn't expect too much from a $900 kit.

Anyone want it?

triple88a 10-06-2012 04:56 PM

For the price of shipping? It would definitely make a pretty cool light fixture.

Drock30 10-06-2012 11:31 PM

Yes it would

Hahahaha I didn't notice that.

pusha 10-08-2012 10:12 PM

I had a similar kit that I got for about $100 locally. The downpipes are OK but the exhaust manifolds are shit.

My 1.6 was pretty quick: 14.1@101 mph on shit tires and a slipping clutch. I also was running stock injectors with band aids.

wannafbody 10-09-2012 09:58 PM

I didn't notice the (intentional) misspelling either

Drock30 10-15-2012 02:47 PM

I don't think the spelling was on purpose. I think its a typo. The previous listing was spelled correctly.... Matter of fact, Wannafbody... you have a PM

concealer404 10-15-2012 02:54 PM

Turbo not hit block.

rotary84 10-29-2012 01:53 PM

ya, i wouldnt spend money on that. either new begi or used

TheBigChill 10-30-2012 08:35 AM

Please don't use that garbage. This is one thing you don't skimp on. Intercooler, sure, buy a cheesy one. Not a turbo though. These things spin at 100,000 rpm and need to be perfectly balanced. Otherwise you end up with a compressor wheel that can scrape the inlet, and there you go ingesting cast aluminum particles into your motor.

Actually my godspeed china turbocharger did fantastic. Few years later and it's still working like a champ for the current owner. Now my kraftwerks rotrex spins at around 250,000rpm...

18psi 10-31-2012 08:08 AM

I was going to reply to his retarded post, but then I looked at join date and changed my mind.

TheBigChill 10-31-2012 08:26 AM

I just can't see risking a motor because somebody couldn't pony up another $500 for a turbocharger with proven performance, longevity, and support. Though, I am glad to hear that it has served you well. Sweet Fit BTW. I've contemplated a boosted Fit many times. Honda should've just made a Fit Si w/ the K20 in it :0)
