Gosh-Dang Bosch BOV

After installing a Bosch BOV, I can no longer reach full (6psi) boost. Now, I'm only getting about 3PSI Max, in every gear, at any RPM.

At first I thought it was installed backwards, so I flipped it around, but that did not change anything.

Does anyone know what the problem may be? Do I have to readjust My MBC after the BOV install? Or myabe my New BOV is fried... Im stumped.

My currect setup is the greddy kit Plus....
-Jim B's Pipes w./ Starion 17 row
-Stock exhaust (except muffler)
-MSD Sebring Ignition thingy
-Vortec FPR
-MBC from Jim

well one way to check is to block the passage out of the bov.

make sure you didn't pull vacuum line when installing it and have a leak now.

No, it shouldn't affect boost in the least. It's either installed incorrectly or not broken.

I have a leaky Forge BOV (keep stalling on exchanging, my fault!), and I have a gimp idle. When I had a busted vacuum line the car would just stall.

My vacuum line to my BOV had the alternator belt eat through it a tiny bit. I lost boost pressures. Idle was still perfect. Only thing that gave it away was the BOV stared fluttering.

It turns out the source of problem was a loose I/C clamp. The hose was just bearly hanging onto the pipe when I discovered it. I didn't even think a loose hose could be my problem, since my vacuum was at a Solid -20PSI, but I guess that makes sense that it would leak under boost, and not vacuum.

The BOV was installed backwards on the 1st attempt however.
Noobs, lol..

Thanks for your help guys!
