Greddy kit oil drain flange clarrification question.

im getting ready to tap my oil pan for the oil return and im planning on doing steel braided lines for it.

i know the sizes r specified in braineacks faq, but i had a question on the flange i should buy.

this is the one i've been people pointing at to get, but it doesn't mention the td04h-15g turbo just the 16g. is the 15g and 16g the same ? will this flange work for my application.

thanks
Scott

I bought one of those from Function7 - I believe that the TD05 flange fits the TD04, but I can measure mine tomorrow, if you can wait.

Make sure you tap the pan with the same size NPT fitting that the flange uses - I tapped my pan for a 1/2" NPT fitting, and had to drill/tap the Function7 fitting to use a 1/2" hose as a result. I've got pictures of it here, if it helps: click

In the end, I used a the fitting from the DSM car: made it simpler to route it towards the pan with my setup.

Cheers!

ATP has the correct flange with the holes slotted slightly to fit quite a few different turbos. Its machined 1/2" NPT.

ok, so i think i figured it out.

im gunna order that flange, which has a 3/8" female NPT port.

then i plan on buying 2 x 3/8" npt male -> -10AN male

one of these, to screw onto the turbo.

and one of these

to screw onto the oil pan area where i will tap the oil pan for 3/8" npt.

does this sound like a solid setup ?

uh i didn't use a flange i just tapped and installed hte fitting in the pan, and used some jbweld to hold it in place.. the turbo is already threaded isn't it?

my turbo has the goofy 45 degree slip on fitting right now. so i was gunna get the flange.

as for the oil pan. the 3/8" male to -10 an male i was going to jbweld into the oil pan tap location.

What I did was I simply cut that 45 degree pipe off and welded on an adapter - SORTED !
