greddy oil lines
Anyone know what is the ID of the greddy turbo return line? i'm running it to the other side of the engine like greddy suggests rather than tapping my pan, and i think its 1/2". anyone know for sure? thanks

Dunno what the ID of the line is, but mine is deffo not 1/2" thick.
I'd say it's more like 1.5" thick at the least. I'm getting rid of mine real soon and heading down the tapping route as it's WAY cleaner/nicer and WAY less hassle in the long run. The standard line will start to leak after months of hot oil going through it, it may crack also. It's up to you....but I wouldn't bother with it. |
1.5"......thats huge. i'm asking about the inner diameter of the hose. i think 1.5" is a little too much

Maybe like a 5/8".

BrillntBLK92 is getting 63" of 1/2 braided stainless line from me for his greddy setup, which is what he said the original kit came with.

I beleive the original line is 3/4". 5/8 will fit over the fitting on the turbo but it is a hell of a stretch.

My order from McMaster Carr, OD is bigger than the stock, but inner is the same. I don't think 1/2 will fit.
54595K31 MEDIUM PRESSURE SAE 100R4 OIL RETURN HOSE, 3/4" ID, 1-9/64" OD, 300 PSI, BLACK 5FT |
Hopefully he will see this, as he hasn't placed his order for sure yet. I can get it in the 3/4" Hose, but he specified 1/2".

I used 3/4" and double clamped it at the block.

I'm getting the steel braided kit from TheBandit also and tapping right to the pan. Finally throwing away the horrible standard Greddy rubber tube !
