GReddy T67 manifold Q
Pretty much as the headline states, if I wanted to run a monster turbo for my 1.6 miata the T67 greddy, which exhaust manifold would I need to buy? Price?
You would need a custom manifold made for the T67.
As for price, well that depends on the fabricator. |
lmao, would it even spool it?
I'm not really putting a big emphasis on response, mainly cause its a 1.6, when the motor gives, I plan on putting a 1.8 in with a FM kit, even then I'm not expecting a super reponsive powertrain, I love the top end pull from a big turbo, what turbo then should i be looking at for this kind of power?
The GT3076R with a .63 turbine is 500 whp capable while still providing a decent power band.
yeah just get a 307 series or something dude and it will suffeciently overpower your chassis very quickly ;)
wouldn't it work with the miata greddy manifold? flanges are the same, right?
the gt2876 would fit that footprint....dunno if the 307x has a t2x option.
its still a 50 lb/min wheel. So like 450BHP. |
Don't think I'd get a $500 custom manifold for a 1.6, with the intention of going 1.8 later. And needing another $500 custom manifold.
greddy kit has a very weird non standard flange man.
no, it's a garrett t25 footprint... the outlet to the DP is a t40d like the Mitsu VR4's

the gt3071 is the biggest turbo with a t25 (some are t3) footprint... i have seen gt3076 with a custom t25 turbine housing...
Maybe hks $$$$ has nice turbo's if you want to go big... Not sure if it will hit the hood, but i think it is possible... I have a 1.8HKS mani with a gt2560r and have room to spare. As the greddy is off centre (nearer tothe firewall) and the whole 1.6 block is shorter, bringing the turbo even more towards the firewall... I guess it might be possible... |
