Fresh new pics of my Mazdaspeed Turbo Kit!

I got new pics for anybody interested! This has been alot of fun and i've had the opportunity to do some custom fab work, mainly with some bracketry.
I not only fabbed some great aluminum brackets for my intercooler, but I also fabbed some brackets for my custom intake.
Check it out!
In the future, I may invest in Track Dog Racings Heatshield. That would definitely keep the underhood temps clear from my K&N air filter. As for oil and water fittings. I'm going to use a fiber oil drain, but with thermal shield attached the side closest to the turbo.
I am going to use fiber lines for water fittings, as this is not near as critical as oil. And now, my idea for the oil line is this. I am going to use the 14 inch oil line that comes with the turbo, and then use a coupler and attach a fiber line to it. This will keep the fiber line well out reach of the exhaust temps and also allow me to quickly replace the lines without having to unbolt the turbo just to get to the oil feed fitting.
Second, its been along time coming. I would like to give a big appreciation for all the moderators and members who have helped me with this project. When I had questions, you people had the answers. Thanks alot!

Well I reckon the Manual boost controller will work fine as it is. Instead of running a vacuum line from the compressor outlet of the turbo to the wastegate, I choose to run a vacuum line from the throttle body elbow to the waste gate (wastegate vacuum line not yet attached to MBC)

What do you guys think about my intake? Think it'll work good? It cost me about 55 dollars filter, bolts, and the aluminum to fab the brackets. It might not get me that extra 5 horsepower that the FM or BEGI setup will, but i'm sure it beats the factory airbox significantly...

From Authentic Boosting. I haven't heard nothing negative about the Ebay IHI turbos and the word is they are absolutely legit. So...
269 dollars shipped. Now when it comes in, I can work on doing oil lines and all that, then i'll take the turbo back off and ship it to Begi for wastegate porting job.
As for the midpipe. Well Flyin Miata seems to have the best deal going for a 99-05 2.5 midepipe. 350 dollars for a stainless steel unit with high-flow cat and resonator.
As for the downpipe, the factory naturally aspirated downpipe supposably bolts right up to the turbo cast outlet, but of course i'll want a 2.5 inch unit. So i'll get in touch with begi to fab me a 2.5 inch downpipe that is compatible with the 99-05 midpipe.
People prolly wonder why I just don't go ahead with a mazdaspeed midpipe. Lol, well you never know, I might want to go Garrett GT2860RS with BEGI Downpipe and Manifold... but we'll see...
Best thing about it, just reclock the turbo to match my mazdaspeed chargepipes. I got a big enough intercooler that it should be sufficient on up to 280 rwhp...

If you want a cheap DP, I'm pretty sure the factory MSM pipe will work and I recently saw one on the MSM site dirt cheap. I think it was like $50.

Question, should I run a 3/8's or 5/8s hose barb to the oil pan?

Not true. The only MSMs with boost creep issues are usually the ones running an SGDP. I've seen a handful with custom 3 inch exhaust with boost creep. That's about it. And even then, it's not a certainty. I have an SGDP and I don't have boost creep. That's why I say don't bother going thru taking the turbo off later to get it ported unless you actually have an issue.

I would move it up behind the headlight, or put together a cowl intake system, or route it into the nose somehow. Lots of examples here of CAI systems.

That is a concern for me, but given proper heatshielding and using the TDR manifold heat shield, I think I can keep underhoot temps low enough, and if I need to, I can even build an aluminum heatshield enclosure out of aluminum to shield the left side of the filter from exhaust temps.
