Greddy tdo4-h with wrx internals...
Is it possible?
A friend of mine works at a shop that constantly does turbo upgrades on wrx's and what not...but he was wondering if we could swap the internals from a wrx's into my tdo4h. would it be better? i imagine, they push 14psi all day long stock. and are great turbos on wrx's would it be a good set up for a miata??? |
not unless you want a smaller turbo.

yeah, the WRX turbo is a Tdo4 13-L and the Greddy one is a Td04 15-G so the greddy one is bigger in terms of flow per psi ...
BUUUUUUTTTTT...The wrx turbo is built to be very efficient at high boost levels at lower flow values than the 15-G, so on a miata the wrx turbo will probably be more efficient at 10+ psi than the 15-turbo which is built to flow more air at lower boostlevels...hope ths make sense... |
Plus the WRX turbo is water cooled and you can find them for $100 on the used market from aftermarket dealers.
