greddy turbo cartridge replacement
 

i've been unable to find a replacement TURBO for my greddy that has some scary shaft play and is likely a big patr fo what's responsible for my car looking like a destroyer laying down a smoke screen for an invading navy fleet...

there ARE a bunch of 15g and 19t center section cartridges on ebay, however, for 400 - 500 bucks, and I almost wonder if this would even be a better move than sending it out for a rebuild.

now, i admit some ignorance, but i can't quite remember. the greddy turbo is a td04H, not an HL, correct? from what i can gather, the L turbine wheel is a little larger, which would require a slight port of the hotside housing, and the 19t upgrade would require porting the compressor housing. beyond that, either of those should drop in. correct?



or, should i just man up and order a standard rebuild kit from gpop and do it myself, then have it balanced locally?

wow, a whole weekend and zero responses... odd.

either way, looks like i'm going to grow a pair and order a rebuild kit, and give that a go. if it doesn't go well, i'll order the 19t center section i linked to above, and will report back.
