heater hose touching hot side of turbo

one of the two heater hoses, the one closest to the drivers wheel well that runs underneath, is touching my downpipe. i have it wrapped in fiberglass wrap to protect. the downpipe is definately rouching. what is the best way to fix this. corky said to tire it back. but i did as much as i could ato no prevail.he said somepeople shorten the hose? could i just cut the metal hose thatthe rubber hose slips over? what would you suggest?

Two ways, shorten the heater hose line or bend the heater hose out of the way.

Pick one,or both.

I bent the hell out of the hardline and wrapped it in heat wrap. How far away do you guys thing it needs to be? There isn't much room back there.

I've got maybe an inch, I might be able to get some more room with using some metal zipties or something.

I bent the shit out of the hardline. Mine don't come close to rubbing.

right now it is actually touching my downpipe. should i use a deadblow to move i out of the way? im afraid that i am going to kink it.

^^ Use your hands and bend it away.

Don't use a hammer, you could risk damaging the heater core.

I double wrapped my D/P there, and I have had no issues.

Drove from Panama City to Orlando (6hrs) threatening overheating the whole way, but never have had a problem with the heater hoses melting.

Safety wire and the heat wrap. The safety wire can give it some extra room, any extra space is good.

Heat wrap the hose real well and tie the hose out of the way. Make sure the wire isn't soo tight that it will rub through the hose and create a leak.

mine is wrapped in like 3 layers of that heat wrap shit and i beat the crap outa my car every day, no issues yet? so i think u should be fine if u move it a smidge and wrap it
