It looks like you might need to resurface your gasket surfaces. If the shop does a good enough job you may not even need a gasket. See if you can find a shop that will surface grind both surfaces of the manifold and the turbo inlet to a finish of 16 (microns differential height). I think that will be sufficient to run without gaskets at the (relatively) low pressure.

If you can't find a shop to do that then use a metal straight edge diagonally across each flange. Use a feeler gauge to see how much difference in height there is between the high/low points of the flange. If it's more than about .015 then it needs surfacing so your can keep gaskets.

well i am getting the manifold surfaces skimmed anyway and the turbo is brand new but i wanted gaskets as a precaution but cant find them :(

I wonder if you could make your own out of think copper sheet?

I don't use a gasket on my turbo -> manifold flange and as far as I know there is no leak.

the manifold/turbo gasket for a 300zx twin turbo vr4 should work, but you should try no gasket and tightening the sucker down better....looks like you had two leaks on the head as well.

yup 300zx gasket fits aswell (easier to get over here)

don't run a gasket between the manifold and the turbo. Had no problems with my Galant VR-4 that way.

Had lots off problems with gaskets... Finally a saab gasket (single layer) fixed it..
Be sure all surfaces are flat ... (if resurfaced run without gasket!!)

I could do with a new Turbo -> DP gasket on mine really.

Anybody got the definitive part code/source for one that would work on the Greddy TD04??

Braineack 04-10-2007 06:46 PM

mistu 3000gt vr4 gasket should work....same turbo dp/turbo only
