Help with Intercooler pipe routing.

How's it going guys. I'm new here! I got a turbo kit off a friend of mine. And I can't for the life of me figure out how these darn pipes route. Does anyone know what brand these are or how to route them? And yes I have used Google to try to look this up 😂

I believe this is the way the passabger side goes.

I'm fairly sure those are old BEGI intercooler pipes.

I think they're even older BEGI/FM pipes than the ones in your photo. Here's a picture of some of the pipes from my circa 2002 California 2-cat FM2 piping:

Yours is not the same as this, but might be the non-California version, which had a different turbo location and thus compressor-to-intercooler routing.

Can you post a photo of the intercooler you have? Is it side tanks, or top-and-bottom tanks? If it's top-and-bottom then it's the old-old style.

I think you have the cold side parts right. Do you have the turbo that came with the kit? Is it clocked with the outlet pointing up, or pointing down? If it's pointing down, then the small pipe (the single right-angle) is the inlet to the compressor. If it's pointing up, then I think that right angle is the outlet from the compressor.

If you have the top/bottom intercooler, then I think the pipe to the right of the teeny one in the first photo is the inlet pipe into the intercooler, with the long straight end pointing up, and the other end curving around into the wheel well area. IIRC, these kits had a somewhat strange routing that sent the compressor-to-intercooler pipe way over onto the passenger side before curving back, and I'm guessing that's what the other two pipes are for.

I just have a regular Intercooler not like the one in your picture. My turbo is clocked pointing up. I might just diy the rest of my piping. Cause that's what I think this is.

It looks like I ran into some Artifacts from the Miata world lol

The flared ends and complex bends on the pipes tell me it's not a DIY intercooler setup. They're early FM2/BEGI parts of one kind or another.

But yeah, if you have a side-tank intercooler it's probably better to just DIY the hot side. I'd recommend reclocking the turbo to point down instead of up, things fit better that way.
