help please

ok i got my t bolt clamps on my IC piping and all that everything there is fine.. i got the 1.8L injectors on they work great..more fueling there. there is one problem.. i'm still not seeing much boost at all like3 psi.. the thing is i've adjusted my wastgate to see if that was it and i've got it tightened down so there is maybe1/4 inch left on the thread ... maybe a little more.. why am i not seeing 5 psi.. and with my mbc i might be able to get like 6 but that doesn't seem right...????

What kind of boost gauge do you have?

auto meter i already called them about it not reading right and they told me to put it up to a compressor tank and set it to 20 psi and sure enough it should up as 20 psi.. so idk if its the BG but.. my main question is why did i have to tighten the waste gate so much just to get it close to 5psi?? i just don't understand that if i tightend it any more idki if that would be safe cuz its really close to the end of the thread

Are you sure there are no restrictions in the line feeding the gauge? Is it pinched or kinked in any way?

Any chance that your Wastegate is being held open somehow?

leaky bov, leaky coupler, leak between head/manifold or manifold/turbo, wastegate cracked open at rest. There's a bunch of possibilities.

if you're reading ~20vac at idle and the gauge is responsive most likely the gauge is right.

The amount of threads on your arm doesn't tell anything. The FLAPPER DOOR itself must be held closed under spring tension of the wastegate spring. You need to tighten your arm until it starts to pull the rod out of the wastegate can... then stop. If there's even the smallest gap around the flapper door, it'll severely limit the boost you can make.

When you manually pull on the wastegate arm, how hard is it to pull out. It should be fairly tough. If the arm comes out easy, you might have a blown actuator.

its pretty tough but i'll go out and check in a minute and tighten it a little more i guess and check my bolts that hold my turbo and all that good stuff. and my boost gauge only reads boost not vac. so i wouldnt be able to check that.. i want to get a boost vac. gauge though. my dad orderd it and didn't really know what to get i did but he didn't so.. thats that
