HKS turbo kit REbuild and introduction
hello everyone, my name is mike and i live in northern california in a town called stockton. i just thought i would share my REbuild with you guys as i go through it. i am using an older hks kit that came on a parts car i picked up last year, during this process i will be installing many other components.
they include- type1 lsd koni yellow struts ground control coilovers cobalt guages remote start/ security lighted rearview mirror dual exhaust custom flush headlights I will also be doing a couple other important things like swapping in a 29k mileage NB VICS motor (nothing special or uberbuilt, just a run of the mill nb 1.8) and swapping in a 5 speed where there used to be an automatic. this all happened because a uhaul truck hit my now deemed parts car which was supposed to be my dd and now i am literally working backwards to put everything on my old parts car. these are both NA 1.8 miatas, i will post plenty of pictures as soon as photobucket uploads them all. a while back i posted on miata.net about an issue with this turbo but i have since sorted that out and have decided to come over to the turbo side of forum life. i look forward to getting to know all of you here. mike |

oh and just a sidenote, i have already completed the parts removal phase of the build and have already gathered all the new parts i need, right now i am working on mating the nb engine to the 5 speed for installation in the car.

is that the kit that was on sale here a while ago with the cracked mani?
|
@pitlab77 i'm not sure... i bought the car secondhand and just stripped it... it has a small fracture in the mani that does not go all the way through. i should have the time to post my progress sometime next week.
