The cop was actually in the other side of the freeway. It was a construction hired cop. The freeway on the other side was getting worked on and that cop was just there to caution drivers. So it was ok. lol

first of all, wtf are you doing reviving such an old thread.
second of all, it doesnt make sense: you were pushing 280 to the wheels on a stock internals 1.6L miata? sounds optimistic

well I'm not flaming him, its just irritating to see old threads brought back....
and if he indeed does have a 280whp stock internal 1.6L I am REALLY curious to get some info on it.

Ummm...well let me see...i was on youtube yesterday...looking at my video and found out it was getting posted on forums, peoples myspace, etc. I didnt know that i can see who posts my videos. So i was just amazed that it was getting posted. So i signed up on this account and just replied where my video was posted. Now for my miata being stock internals, that is very true. The motor a 1.6L from a 93 miata and i put it in my 94 miata that was originaly a 1.8L. I put an Tec3 computer, which means my motor is running stanolone. I got 720cc fuel injectors and running on 15psi at this moment. The little sucker redlines at 8000rpm now. The guy who put my miata together is the guy who ran a 10.9 1/4 mile on a 1.8L stock internal miata. First one ever to do that back in 2000. His name is Ric Stephens, His miata was named the Mini Monster. You might have heard of him if you were a true miata fan. Look up his website, Racing Mazda and see what im talking about. He is a very good tuner and that is why my motor has not blowned up. Im taking the miata to the dyno soon to push 21 psi, after that im going to get some cams and valve springs. If you want more pics of my miata, MySpace.com - ...Joey... - 23 - Male - San Antonio, Texas - www.myspace.com/crybabyjoee. So i think i said enough for now.

But hey, thats even better. It shows that it can be done. So more news for this forum. Thats what this forum is about. So i gave it out there. So i hope you guys dont think im an ******* or something. Im a really cool guy.

Don't worry, this place is pretty hard on new members. It's really hard to get them to admit they were wrong about something sometimes. Believe me, I had a hard time convincing people I made just under 190whp on the wastegate on a Greddy Kit on my 1.6l. It took awhile, but they opened their minds to the new idea after I posted enough evidence. I don't doubt you making close to 300whp on a stock 1.6l. That is what I have found to be the limit for a "reliable" 1.6l block, so I wasn't shocked or anything when you said you made 280whp. You can do ALOT with a good standalone, but most people here only know about/use Megasquirt, which probably isn't capable of doing it.

Welcome to the site, don't be scared of the bullies, it's just the <GASP> internet.

Hey thanks friend. If I need to give more proof. I can show more proof. Im gonna try to push more on the stock internals before i put cams and valve springs. Ill give you updates and ill record the dyno run. and post it. but im trying to reach 325 hp or even more. on stock internals. Megasquirt aint that good. The tec3 unit is alot more better. But cost more of course.

Yup, I make sure the area is clear before I race anyone. I don't do "spontaneous" racing anymore. I get it setup, do a sweep for cops, then run. Can't be too safe nowadays.

I am running an AEM EMS. I am fortunate enough to work at a tuning shop, so I got access to tons of valuable info when it comes to working on my car. We had a stock 1.6l make 340whp before it blew, running a FM turbo kit, and a Haltech E8. It was a *******, too, so it got beaten ALOT before it popped. Then swapped in a 1.8 with a FM turbo kit, and made 480whp before he parted the car out.

Not only did you revive the old thread, you have completely jacked it.

1. Go start an intro thread in the meet and greet section, with pics if you have them (aid believeability).

2. Put mods in sig line, so we don't have to refer back to this thread.

We always say that the only people who don't like MS are people with a vested financial interest in other ECUs...

Oh why am I not surprised. You're a ******* idiot, and if anyone needs more proof, you think that 350whp is "the limit" on a 5-speed Miata tranny.
