I clocked my turbo finally

I finally figured out how to clock my greddy TD04H turbo with the help of brgracer's great intructions, but prior to that i was completely lost on it. I did a search and could really find a write up or pictures of how to do it. if there is no write up i am going to make one, but just wanted to make sure before i did it. I know it's very simple but pictures help alot in explaining it to some people.

Can't wait till you share your write up. Hope you could do it soon enough, before I fit my intercooler pipings.

Cheers,

Loosen bolts on turbine housing while on car.
Rotate CHRA till oil drain faces straight up and down.
Contract snap ring on compressor housing and rotate to desired angle for IC piping route.
It's pretty simple, pictures might help but you can't miss the 4-5 bolts and the one HUGE snap ring.

I know its very simple, i said that. A lot of people work better off of pictures than words, and that includes. there is not reason to come on this and just sound like if you can't do it by reading it then you must be dumb as a brick. i'm just offering to help, no reason to belittle it. Also, what you just described is not how you clock a greddy TD04H turbo.

Woah, sorry, I wasn't belittling anything, hell I'll even take the pictures for the write up if needed. Were you able to take the photos when you did it? I'll be clocking a turbo in the next couple days soon as I make some snapring pliers strong enough to remove the snapring which is stuck as heck. The only catch I have really found in clocking one is that some snap rings are "set" with a center punch and sometimes have to be "knocked" out of position before you can contract them.

No i didn't take pictures when i did it but i haven't put it back on yet so i am just undoing everything i did and taking pictures as i go again. Sorry to think you were attacking me, there is always so much left open to interpritation with only written words. I'll get those pictures up by the end of today. Thanks a lot for offering to help though.

I'm not one to flame or knock anyone that wants to contribute. Should be a good addition.
