Intake Manifold

Prolly gonna sound dumb, but I was Just thinking how tricky it is to get that intake mani on. can I just get it on the head while its off, then just bolt the head with it on? i dont wanna go out side to check the motor and see how itmounts right now. but I cant tihnk of anything that would be in the way?
Thanks.

no problem put it together and be done with it. it wont interfere with the motor install or head install.

Braineack 07-05-2007 08:25 AM

do it now.

If you can, definately put the intake on the head outside the car. Some of the bolts will be a complete PITA to get to in the car.....

Ok. I think I made a Huge mistake. I forgot to put the starter on before the head. is this bad? i didnt put the starter or the alternator on and i already siliconed the head have it on. is this a problem or can I easily put those on?

BrillntBlk92 07-05-2007 09:59 PM

starter i'm not sure about since mine hasn't died yet, but i think the alternator shouldn't be hard.

Braineack 07-05-2007 10:13 PM

put it on last, it bolts to the tranny. and what on the head did you silicone? you mean the valve cover i hope.

The starter and alternator doesn't need to be install before the head. You can install it after you put everything together.

Wanter Ports on the head.....Fuck....Dont tell me that was bad....Becaue I had to do it on my Mustang.

I'm assuming by silicone, he means RTV silicone. That's a good thing to do when your putting a head back on a motor.

Don't worry so much man. Just take your time.

Yes, trv. wow what a reelef.

akaryrye 07-06-2007 02:07 AM

Lol Pai, sorry I didnt get your phone call, was at work. I would have suggested bolting up the AC, PS, Alternator, Starter, and wiring them all up prior to reinstalling the head, but thats just me. Did you get all the tranny bolts on yet? Dont forget those cuz I only put three or 4 of em on to pull the shizz together.

Slidin'Miata916 07-06-2007 06:15 AM

Nope. Not yet. I will tommorrow. I hope I can remember which bolt goes to which hole :/
