Intake manifold hoses

The 2 hoses(one fat one 1.5" and one small one 3/4" on opposite sides) that are right next to the front of the intake manifold and connected to the plastic intake tube, what exactly are they for and does anyone have some pictures of a custom intercooler install with those hoses plumbed in properly? Please help i wanna get some welding done up so i can install my i/c :bigtu: i have seen the pictures on 15psi.com of a tube with the two prongs coming out but have not seen it plumbed up.

There should actually be three at that juncture. One is the crankcase vent from the driver's-side cam cover (that's the smaller, vacuum line), the one on the left-hand side (the 3/4" one) is for the idle air control solenoid and the larger one on the right-hand side is for the resonator box. With a turbocharged setup, you can will ditch the resonator box and connection, you'll need the IAC control valve still connected at that point and the crankcase vent vacuum line you'll move to the turbo inlet, after the AFM.

I used radiator hose and connected my BOV to the green arrow (resonator).

You can support the inside of that nipple with a piece of 1" pvc pipe so that it doesn't collapse and blow off the hose.

Actually, that hasn't been an issue. I haven't had any problems with my current set up (stock Greddy, boost controller, BOV, no IC), no crossover tube blowing off, no BOV coming off. I have that rad hose cranked down pretty good with a clamp and it hasn't collapsed the nipple yet.

im assuming you're using the turbo xs type s bov, firedog. Im doing the same, but im probably just going to mount the bov right in the bung, should slide in til like a mm. or two off from the exhuast ports of the bov. in other words, like LOLA has it.http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...305_7_full.jpg

*edit* went and did a test fitting earlier, should work well

Nope, I'm using a Forge BOV, going to a Bosch unit as soon as I get around to fabbing up the intake and intercooler piping.
