intercooler placement with half size radiator

My friend is doing an engine swap in his Integra and in the process, he's giving me his half-size, dual core Koyo radiator.

I now have a few choices on intercooler placement. I bought a greddy kit with a starion intercooler from Ben and it has the piping that goes down the backside of the radiator and around the radiator to connect to the intercooler. If I get rid of my full size radiator (and AC heat exchanger), I'll be able to have a better path for the piping.

Another option (would cost a little more) would be to put the radiator and an upgraded WRX intercooler side-by-side in the engine bay and have REALLY short intercooler piping.

I think either way will cool the charge well and still allow the stock cooling system to do its job. Also, what would be the best way to get or fab-up hoses that would connect the new radiator up to the engine?

Thanks for the help :bigtu:

Hmm, interesting ... I'll have to look around for somebody who might be able to fab something like that.

Is there a forum sponsor where flex hose can be purchased from?

First time I've ever seen that thread, was a good read. Nice pics. Maybe I can do some fun stuffs myself now that I ordered me an AC/DC TIG.
