that's creative, looks pretty good i think

Stealth97 01-01-2008 01:51 PM

I like the paint. Very nice

airbrush1 01-01-2008 02:31 PM

I like it, usually not a fan of the body kit, but it looks nice with the paint

I agree with airbrush1 - I don't usually like that kit, but the paint really sets it off. Nice work - looks good.

I would like to suggest you move the nitrous solenoids away from the turbo manifold as soon as you can. That has got to be the worst place to mount your nitrous solenoids.

RacingGreen 01-01-2008 03:59 PM

The position of the solenoids is at least to say dangerous.

You are using a thread sealer on the adapter pieces to the solenoid - this one is temp sensitive... Do you think the seals in the solenoid like the extensive heat of the turbo?

Second - I see you are using a dry kit... how do you control the needed extra fuel? How do you want to apply this extra fuel when beeing in boost?

When in boost, you're already balancing on the edge... adding N20 without knowing how much fuel extra is needed means saying goodbye to your engine...

I've driven a wet setup for over two years, on a wet setup, you ALWAYS add the right ammount of fuel while spraying, upgrading is cheap...

+1

Where ya located?

miata-turbo08 01-01-2008 08:14 PM

one thing is that the pic of the turbo and NOS is when i just got done installing the turbo and i just left the nitrous kit where it was so i could take a pic. and i'm not using it currently anyway. and i am going to be using it for intercooler spray for just a few extra HP boost ya know?
i'll post some newer pics if you would like?
and i'm located in Ohio just south of columbus

cjernigan 01-01-2008 08:45 PM

You'd be better off spraying that NOS in the intake. Why waste it?
Ben made just over 250 HP on his greddy with some mods with a basic front mount. No nitrous cooler.

miata-turbo08 01-02-2008 12:12 AM

yea i was thinking about it but some people said it would be unsafe to do with a turbo. either A. you blow your engine up or B. i could turn down the shot to only like 40 HP

cjernigan 01-02-2008 12:21 AM

Turn down the shot. Use it to spool a larger turbo. If you have appropriate fueling it won't be any different.
MarkP just installed direct port on his NB and Patsmx5 will be running nitrous with his SC setup.

elesjuan 01-02-2008 12:35 AM

Looks good!

yea i think i'll just do the direct port like i had before and i will turn it down a little just to be safe this is my only car so i gotta be kind of careful. i should be ordering my intercooler when Stripes gets back from where ever he is.

UrbanSoot 01-02-2008 02:22 PM

love the paint!

MiataJet 01-04-2008 09:52 AM

Very nice paint. Did you lower the car?

miata-turbo08 01-04-2008 02:38 PM

thanks everyone. um I am the second owner of the car and i haven't lowerd it. it has a full body kit and 17' Rrims so that adds to the lowered look. i just got my intercooler and i'm waiting on the piping kit so i should have the intercooler set up very soon!! :):)

Zabac 01-04-2008 02:52 PM

get some suspension asap, you will love the car so much more...
as far as power goes, save up for a MS built by someone else if you cant do it yourself, best way to get some real power...
keep ot clean, if thats possible in Ohio...lol

musanovic 01-04-2008 02:55 PM

great looking but you do need the intercooler. love the paint.

miata-turbo08 01-04-2008 03:00 PM

yea i'm putting it on next week some time as far as suspension and MS i just don't have the money to do that stuff... my parents are paying for most of my college and any money i get now from working goes to college and all that shit
