Default Got a ? for turbo rebuild

Hey all i just found this site and its got alot of great info on it but i was wondering if any of you knew of a site that showed a step by step for rebuilding the td04h.

I just bought a used greddy kit and there is more shaft play then i want to worry about.I found the kits for around $100 for new bearings and o-rings and clips.

thanks for any help in advance. I though i saw a write up on here but cant find it any more.

gpopshop.com should have cheaper rebuild kits than that for you, if they carry them for that turbo.
There is a t25 rebuild howto on here by samnavy that will work for your turbo, they're essentially the same when it comes to disassembly and reassembly.

Highly advisable to replace your water pump, also.

Remove turbine housing??? Remove nut??? Tap compressor side...
1 good hit should do it ... Be carefull not to damage the wheels, and make sure you mark the compressor to the turbine, they have to match again in order to regain the balance..

i do not have the exhaust turbine housing off , instructions didn't mention it in them

should i use a puller like they are using here

You can't remove the turbine wheel and shaft unless you remove the turbine housing. The wheel sits inside the housing and cannot be pulled through. Hopefully you haven't been pounding the wheel into the housing, they damage easily.

nah it was pretty light tapping , im going to be pissed if it did though it was never stated in the instructions to and i tried removing it and it was stuck on there pretty good and i figured i had to get the shaft out first before the housing came off. Well i guess i will see tomorrow

It sounded silly, as i typed: remove turbine housing...
Youll be fine, just follow instructions and watch your hands!!
