NA, NB, MSM Fuel Injector confusion!!!
 

Well I think some light needs to shed and some clarity giving on the Mazda Miata factory denso saturated injectors.

I've heard so many different flow rating that I don't know what fuel injectors flow what...

90-93 blue tops flow 230cc/hr at stock fuel pressure right?
94-97 tan tops flow 260cc/hr at stock fuel pressure right?
99-00 maroon top injectors flow 260/hr at stock fuel pressure right?
01-05 purple top injectors flow 270cc/hr at stock fuel pressure right?

And now i've heard that 99-05 injectors flow 230cc/hr and only mazdaspeed injectors flow 270cc/hr... but I thought the MSM injectors were the same as the 01-05 injectors....

They are.

I believe the MSM injectors are 265cc.

Then I hear that running larger injectors on the stock ecu will not increase the headroom you have on boost, as the ecu begins to curve down fuel maps to compensate with the larger injectors and richer A/F ratios...

Which, I hear vice versa on that...

90-93 blue tops flow 230cc @ 43.5psi
94-97 tan tops flow 265cc @ 43.5psi
99-00 maroon top injectors flow 240cc @ 43.5psi
01-05 purple top injectors flow 265cc @ 43.5psi

however, the 99-00 EDIT:(and 01-05) injectors are designed to run at 60psi and have a better spray pattern. at 60psi they rate around 265cc (and 296cc respectively)

The 01-05 injectors are also designed to run ~60 psi, making them right around 296cc at that pressure.

thanks, my knowledge of anything past 93 is limited :P
