NB extractor hood
Well with my turbo kit installed along with a coolant reroute I may need some sort of extractor hood. The temps would climb in stop and go traffic here in South Florida. I remember seeing one for an NB on adrenaline racing's site a while ago made by Tuckin99 that looked nice. are there any other choices for the NB guys? BTW, I'm still using the stock radiator because I wasn't sure which aftermarket one would fit on my car with the turbo.

check out Autokonexion, they are currently making a NB extractor hood. it might be a little while before it goes into production though. they are a sponsor over at clubroadster.net.

you can use hood spacers to lift the hinge side of the hood. works on my car. at a stop light you can put your hand there and feel a ton of hot air coming out.

Or, you can look for a thread started by M2CupCar on the subject. ;)

Sean, just get one of these= http://www.carbontrix.com/store/inde...products_id=91
The carbon fiber would look really good with your color. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
hasn't lifting the hood been re-classified as a "no-no'?

Yes Tony, hood lifting does nothing but excite 12 year old Japanese girls...and boys.

I think you should just remove the hood and go hood less. Should keep you really cool!
lol :giggle: |
I was able to pick up a mini cooper hood scoop off of ebay for $53 less the $10 ebay coupon I used as well. For all thos who have done the mod, how did you go about cutting the hood? Did anyone come up with a template to use to make sure you don't cut the hole in the hood too big? I was gonna take it to the body shop I go to to have them do it 'cause I'm concerned I'll mess up the hood by cutting too big of a hole.

with hood risers it helped me out on stop and go traffic. my car would overheat even after a flush, water pump replacement, replacing all the hoses, then replacing the radiator my problem still occured. It seem to act normal when i was on the highway but at stop go traffic i was overheating until i did the hood riser
