Need new injectors and need advice
 

I have a 1990 1.6 with a stock greddy kit, only thing i added to the kit so far is a FMIC. I will be adding a DIYPNP for engine management. I have 2 injectors what went out, confirmed this by swapping injectors to a different cylinder and the mis-fire followed. I don't plan on tuning it for big power(250+HP), I want reliable power as this is my track car. With that said what should I be looking at in terms of injectors?

Next question I have is a total noob questions, what controls the flow of fuel in the injectors? For example, 550cc injectors, does it flow 550cc all the time? Or does the ECU say hey I know you can flow 550cc, but I only want you to flow 300cc.

Injectors are controlled by ECU and are turned on for varying amounts of time based on the needed amount of fuel (as defined in your fuel map).

​​​​The rated flow of the fuel injector is based on it's flow at 100% duty cycle (wide open) at a given fuel pressure.

At least that's what the past 5 minutes of google fu have led me to believe...

I've got zero affiliation, but that's what everyone recommends for lower power goals on pump gas and that deal will save you a few bucks. I recently bought some stuff from Flow Force and was completely satisfied with the experience.

Flow force are good injectors. We have a set running on my friend's car with an old FM Link and what is left of a greddy kit. (Upgraded manifold and downpipe, fmic, different intake... So the turbo and turbo location are all that is left of the original kit.)
