Oil feed line question. NOT SIZE OR FITTINGS.

I currently have a 4AN line for my oil feed. I want to hook up an oil pressure sender and oil temp near the turbo, to get oilpress&temp @ turbo.

I just have enough 4AN to make the feed line, but i got some 6AN here.

Is it possible to take a pressure gauge adapter, with 4AN in and out and a 1/8 npt port, use a hose end with 1/8 npt to 6AN, plug that in the port, and use 6AN to feed to a sandwich where i`ll have pressure sender and temp sender?

Or will that 4AN to 6AN cause a problem in my feed line?

I think that will probably be fine as far as not restricting the turbo and will probably give you an accurate pressure reading, but I suspect it may not give you a good temp indication. The temp sender needs to be immersed in a stream of moving oil, and if it's off at the end of a long tee it's not going to get that.

Having an oil temp gauge is useful, but I think you'll probably be fine with one mounted in the pan. A lot of folks, myself included, put it in the drain hole.
