Default Getting a Greddy

Hey, First post! and a greddy! WOOOHOOOO
P.S. i have done some research
I still want to get new sparkplugs, i know greddy recomends a colder set... which should i get? ...
and a manual boost controler... as i don't want to boost over 5 or 6 psi for the sake of my clutch... which i havent upgraded yet.

So if i have missed anything let me know, i am aiming for safe and reliable.. with around 150-160RWHP, 140-150 ft lbs torque @ 6psi.

Thanks guys!

Welcome to the board. I love tooting my own horn... even if I'm not even boosting yet. Read this thread start to finish: https://www.miataturbo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4455
Yes, it's seven pages... no it's not Greddy specific... yes, everything still applies. There are a few great posts about plugs and MBC's in there.

For the quick answer on 1-step colder plugs:

As for an MBC. I did a lot of homework on this one. Bottom line, I couldn't find a single bit of "hard evidence" proof that for low boost applications that a $100 name-brand MBC was any better than a $10 eBay brass one. I would say that you want to stay away from the name-brand knockoffs though. If you're going to spend any more than this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Voodo...39146548QQrdZ1 then you might as well get a name brand and not take the chance on some Chinese piece of crap. Disclaimer: This is not based on my actual experience because my MBC which is the exact one in that picture is still on the workbench along with the rest of my turbo setup.

Z28, looks like you've done your homework and your well on your way. I suggest you get a fuel pressure gauge and tune the cartech properly. Read my FAQ.
