It is better actualy, more features less cost. Link is on the way out. FM is discontinuing there use of it, and MS has the support of DIY autotune.

I think the fact that the link is being discontinued is reason enough for MS to be better.
More cell resolution? Isn't link 8x8. EBC with the ability to reduce boost relative to knock and IAT. Control WI. Launch control. Table switching.
I'm sure there's more.

I thought the
Miata Link was 15X15. so it has more resolution than the Megasquirt but not by much.

I actually think they are fairly comparable ecus. just based on features at least.

Link is something like 13*8 on the tables i believe. And does not run launch control AC, have AIT/Knock/tps/Nos/WI boost control MS has a lot of features and is fully customizable/ + link only comes with a 17 psi map sensor MS can run a 4 bar map sensor 44 psi of boost, with barocorrection. Like i said better more headroom and easy to modify if your needs change.

A friend of mine has a Link'ed FM turbo Miata, when I told him there's an MS PnP for his vintage Miata he said,"Do you think I could sell my Link for $1200?" He wants the MS for the richness of it.

He can sell it for $1200 ONLY if the person buying doesn't know about the MSPNP, IMHO.

Cheers!

The fact that the link has a larger install base is reason enough for the link to be better. Note that the 1.6L Miata was discontinued as well. That doesn't mean it isn't a hell of a car.

That being said, the features of the MS makes it a better ecu. I had a link on Miata#1 so that is what I just put on Miata#2. I didn't want two different ecus on my cars. That is the only reason I didn't go with MS this time.
