Playing with the Xede

I gotta bow down to you folks that have a good grasp of tuning. I certainly haven't (probably never will) and it's awesome knowing that Stephanie or anybody else at BEGi is a phone call or email away.

My car drove pretty nicely with the basemap that Stephanie loaded for me but it idled pretty badly. After it warmed up, it would like to stall. She told me to pull some fuel during idle, explained which cells to do it and now I can at least come to a stop and not keep my foot on the gas to prevent it from stalling. It still lopes occasionally from 700-900 but at least it's a little bearable.

I mean, for somebody that's never done anything, it's straightforward to go where you want to and make changes. I doubt I'll ever learn how to utilize it fully. Also easy to seriously mess stuff up.

Anyways, I plan on taking it to these guys http://www.gasheadmotorworks.com/index.html and have them get it running right. Wideband, dyno, etc.

Now I've never had a car tuned on the dyno...but would they also have a boost gauge hooked up to my car? I don't trust the one that's supplied with my FM kit. It doesn't even read 0 when the car's off. I'm mainly using it to make sure I don't get boost creep.
