Productive day

Today was productive, I got the BEGI FMU, the 305 injectors and the dual feed rail installed. I then turned the MBC up from 9-12 PSI. The power difference is noticeable. I still need to fine tune the FMU as I am running pig rich. My last challenge is my exhaust, greedy DP then stock. I ordered a DP from BEGI over 3 months ago, and I am still waiting. I am now pondering constructing a 2.5” DP my self; I have an extra turbo flange and a wire welder.

Wow, I'm right where you are, minus the extra boost. Plus an Emanage Blue. Plus a lean spike to 13.4 at 4 rpms.

tuning is everything- that will make a big difference in the boost up :bigtu:

I'd say the difference between my engine going KABOOM and ZOOM.

Are you using a fuel pressure gauge. You should see at least 90psi and probably want around 100psi for 12psi boost to get in the 12-13:1 AFR range.

This dyno plot w/fuel graph was exactly that... 12-13psi boost and 100psi fuel pressure w/base timing at 14* and Bipes pulling 7*... just about as good as it's gonna get.

I only used a pressure gauge, to set the base pressure. My wide band shows my AFR dropping like a rock as soon as it enters positive pressure in the manifold, down to 12:1 at 5 PSI, 11:1 at 8 PSI, and 9.8:1 at 12 PSI. I am taking it to a dyno Wednesday, and will make my final adjustments then.

Too rich. You need the FMU to bleed pressure better. Sounds like you need 2 or 3 check valves in parallel after the needle valve.

I noticed, after 10psi, having a fmu wasnt fun. too hard to find the equalibrium between a safe mid-range AFR and a not too rich top-end after open loop.
