Kudos to Flyin' Miata
Hey, there was something that honestly blindsided me. I just got an email from Jeremy at Flyin' Miata, offering me, for free, a new bracket for the wastegate, hopefully to address the boost creep issues I've been having since upgrading to their new kit.
They did ask for the actuator which came with the kit back, so this should hopefully offset some of their expenses - good for them. I am not looking to get the most for my dollar (i.e. keeping the can), just to get the system working as it should.
Hopefully they don't take too big a hit on people NOT seeing boost creep (i.e. no headwork, restrictive exhausts) trading in on a system that is working fine.
I'd post the email here, but they've mentioned they are rather sensitive to being quoted in public. Suffice it to say, it was well written and clearly a mass mailing, but certainly good intentions and I know they have been developing this for a while. I'll try to compare it to my version of the set up (not sure how comparable it will be with my ground out wastegate) and see what data I can share.
Anyway, THIS is the FM I grew to know and love from some time back. Honestly, I'd expected them to just offer the upgraded piece for sale (which I'm sure they will), not give it to people as a fix for the earlier kit.

You're getting a new bracket and a new actuator. The new bracket is to allow the new actuator to fit the turbo.
The new bracket will be for sale separately if anyone wants one for any reason, but all of our customers who have the problem actuator have been contacted. Of course, all the kits shipping from here on will have the new parts.
