Shanghai-S install, can't reach a nut in mani!
I've been patient, but I'm pretty damn close to getting the BEGi parts installed (save for diy ic, ms, wb02)!
http://i44.tinypic.com/14wycfa.jpg It's in the middle, it's 14 mm. I can't get a box end in there without stripping it. How do you guys running the same mani torque this :crx::crx::crx:?! |
I tried harder and I got it...sorry folks.

Lol, thanks guys . I see guys saying they finish in 12 hours or so and I'm already on my third day! It's not a race, but w/ summer school hw, work etc, I was really hoping to finish yesterday, oh well.

I found that the Sears Craftsman "Speed Wrench" in 14mm fits great.
Tried: 14mm Kobalt 14mm Pittsburg 14mm Snap-On 14mm generic thing from neighbor... None of these fit worth a damn! Was gonna grind one down and then found that the Craftsman Pro speed wrench thingie worked well. Good luck with the install... I just did that step to my car yesterday too. (For the 40th friggin time, that is.) I hate car accidents! |
3rd day? I'm almost a month in, lol. But yeah, I can't really work on it that much, maybe 30 minutes or so every other night or on weekends.
I am also at the point of grounding down a wrench, so add me in. |
i used a regular wrench that i cut in half and grinded.
|
am I the only one that just simply used an offset box wrench?

My ETD manifold has that nut missing and works just fine, actually done it on two cars now...no problems.

http://greatnecksaw.com/images/produ...eview/DB5C.jpg When doing Tyson's we couldn't fit a box wrench between the stud and mani. An open end wrench was the only way. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
