Well heres my current work in progress of which im now having second thoughs on the fuel management part of course

greddy kit
turbotony d/p
stripes and i/c
bipes
tan injectors
begi afpr
a buttload of gauges and misc stuff

Now im thinking maybe i should have just got the MS and rc550. Oh and i would also need a laptop i suppose to dial it in. My to do list is to still get a wideband since i had a bung welded in the dp for it already.
So i guess
ms 700.00
550 injectors 300.00ish
wideband 200.00

What do you think?

About ready to dump the whole damn thing and go find a supercharger and get rid of this headache i have from reading 200+ pages of posts
Now that i think about it if i had to do it again i dont think i would have bothered with the greddy kit at all, the only thing you wind up using is the mani and turbo anyways.

Part of the reason why I got the Greddy kit was because it's CA legal. When I get my car smogged this Sept, I plan to remove my IC and put it to stock Greddy condition.

MS all the way. The amount of control it gives you compared to a AFPR is just ridiculously awesome.
A supercharger would just result in more headaches.

Yea im kind of kicking myself now. Although I imagine it will be easy to offload the bipes and afpr since theyre still new in the box waiting on me to make up my mind which road to go.
I was more contemplating the supercharger just for the simplicity of bolting it on, shutting the hood and forgetting about it.
I moved out of cali years ago i always hated having to remove everything every two years to pass emissions.

Superchargers have their own problems. Belts slipping, throttled volume just to name a few.

The power delivery and driving experience is much different between the two.

Maybe look for a used Link? Not carb legal, but PNP, maps are widely available, and easy enough to covert for annual smog checks.

You may have good luck with MS. In the North east we have seasonal blended fuels and below zero temps, It's tough to go out in the bitter cold and try and build a fuel map when your laptop screen keeps freezing cause even it know's that know one in their right mind should be outside...

Having been in your shoes before, and still am... What about a piggyback??? The EMB W/ AUTOtune is really all you would need. It's less than a MSPNP, easier to use, and Bruce gives excellent support.

With a computer to control them, 460's will get you to 250whp, so unless you want more or have a hard-on for not exceeding 80% duty cycle, then you can go that way. Buy your injectors used and have them rebuilt. Going rate on most forum classifeds for a complete set of good injectors are $100. You can get some in need of rebuild for $50 and have them sent to an injector cleaning place for $60. Don't spend $300 on new ones. Try the RX7 forums.

Wow no kidding?? 250 is plenty for me. 460's come from a turboII rx7 don't they?

Jefe-I wont have too much of a problem with freezing temps, my happy *** is moving somewhere warmer come june if not sooner. Being cold sucks.

Go for 550's, you'll have more headroom, they'll run at a lower duty cycle, and they're basically the same price

He'll sell you a set of 4 RX7 550cc injectors which are plug and play, meaning they'll fit in the rail, and you can use your stock injector plugs for $103 shipped.

Some people have had a problem with the guy, I get the feeling he's like automotive Soup **** or something, and doesn't like to be pestered. I just sent him a PM, he replied with the price and his PayPal address, I sent him the money and left him alone. A week or so later, he shipped them out.

Send them off to http://www.injector-rehab.com for a $50 cleaning (with free return shipping), and you'll be golden.

+1 on Japan2LA being the automotive Soup ****. I tried to buy some injectors from him and he was a bit difficult.

Check with a guy at rx7club called mazdamigastos. I bought a set of 550cc injectors from him for $50. No hassles, shipped within 3 days of payment, gave me a tracking number. I sent them off to Witch Hunter for a cleaning and they tested out perfectly after servicing, within 1% on flow.

Not sure if his injector sale was a one-time deal or not.

I hate dealing with people like that. It's frustrating enough buying stuff online without that hassle added to it. Ill go shop ebay or some local yards first.

I read your frustration with the guy, checked him out on the other site, and took a crack at it. Yes they are if you get the right ones. You want the RX7 turbo 'purple top' 550c injectors made by Denso. I forget the whole part number but it ends in 2020. Do a search here and you will find the number.
