finally, it got a little bit nice out. its been snowing for weeks now.
and now we got some sun, it hit almost 50 today, so i got to work

at the turbo i mounted a 4 clamp coupler, it holds strong,
im yet to put clamps on all the couplers,
and still need to mount the intercooler to the body of the car,
but this is as it sits as of now

hmmm.......looks familiar. ;)

urgaynknowit 03-06-2008 10:19 PM

lol,, thanx buddy

i had a hard time getting it to fit thought,
i had to cut the pipes on the cold side to fit around the rad
and had to move shit around on the other side,
i moved the rad fan about 4 inch toward the pass side
moved lines around, ugh, it was a pain

but its on there, now weather permitting, ill drill holes, mount the intercooler
and check every coupler, then i might bump the timing up 2 degrees or so

Trent 03-06-2008 11:29 PM

oh man. you had to cut the cold side? those were just the pipes from the stripes kit. that should have fit perfectly. looks like you went a totally different route with the hot side. i didn't use the question mark shaped pipe at all with my setup.

urgaynknowit 03-06-2008 11:39 PM

the cold side did not fit at all, i dont know y, it was odd. when i mounted the cold side, it stuck out the front of the car, almost 2 inch more than needed, so i cut a 2 inch ring off,
then i used a coupler to join the two, and my power steering and other crap was in the way of the hot side, so i routed around everything, and had just enough pipe left, i was forced to use the stock greddy piece. ill hopefully get it running tom

urgaynknowit 03-07-2008 03:05 PM

just drove it, and with a front mount and stock exhaust,...

Oh I know. I had the starion kit and stock exhaust. 3psi by 4k rpm!

What wheels are those? Size + offset?

urgaynknowit 03-07-2008 06:30 PM

im only running 4psi, is this because of the stock exhaust?

Bryce 03-07-2008 07:11 PM

It's because of the fmic. You have to tighten your wastegate arm some to make up for it.

Dow.tom 03-07-2008 07:24 PM

i like the 2nd gen MR2, i have a 87 back in the day.

kotomile 03-07-2008 07:30 PM

I have very little lag with mine after the intercooler install. Exhaust helps...

urgaynknowit 03-07-2008 07:38 PM

the mr2 is stupid fast
